Keeping it Raw
In the process of making something well-cooked, I often end up writing nothing at all.
That’s why this blog is called Keeping it Raw.
I’ve had this blog in mind for years. In fact, I bought this domain nearly a decade ago. Lost it. Bought it again. And still… no posts.
Why?
Because I overthink.
I tweak.
I aim for “perfect.”
And in that process, I never publish.
Why Now?
Simple answer: because I’m lazy (in this area) and unorganized.
Every time I start writing, I want to fine-tune it to death. I get into it one day, then the next day I’m a different person with a different vibe — and the article never sees the light of day. Weeks or months go by, and nothing gets published.
So here’s my new rule:
Set a 1-hour timer. Write. Publish. No looking back.
It’ll be messy.
It won’t be polished.
But it’ll be real.
Thanks to ChatGPT and other AI tools, I can throw all my thoughts out, let it help with structure, I’ll read it once, tweak a little — and that’s it. Done.
Why Share Anything at All?
Because everyone’s experience has value. Even if it helps just one person, it could shift their perspective, give them clarity, or even change their life.
And that’s worth it.
At ThemeGrill, I work closely with 7–8 core team members. Whoever I work with, I want them to grow — not just professionally, but personally too. I push them (with care), keep a little pressure so they learn fast, and want them to be better than they were yesterday.
But I never overstep. I don’t send friend requests or ask personal questions. If someone wants to talk, I let them take the first step. And when they do, I share my experience — not as advice, but as stories. And something magical happens…
It helps them.
But it helps me too.
A Recent Example
Just last week, one of the team members — someone full of life, always smiling — used the words “irritated and angered.” That caught my attention.
We sat down for a chat. He opened up. I shared some of my own experiences and thoughts, and he felt better. But what surprised me was — I was going through something similar myself.
So, in trying to help him, I was actually helping myself too. Reassuring myself with the same words I offered to him.
That’s What This Blog Is For
It’s my public notebook.
Raw, unfiltered, maybe even unfinished at times.
If it helps someone out there — even a little — amazing.
And if not, it’s still helping me.
This blog isn’t here for likes, traffic, or “top 10 productivity hacks.”
It’s just me, keeping it raw.
So, I was able to get this post out within just 30 minutes. And I thought — why not add one more thing?
I know you’re reading this blog.
And if you’ve been thinking of starting a blog too… why not, my friend? Let’s do it.
Let’s not think too much. Let’s not over-plan it.
There’s this one friend from Bangladesh — he came to visit Pokhara (my home city). Back then, he told me he was planning to start a blog at the beginning of 2025. In my mind, I was like, “Hmm… maybe he’s going through the same thing I am — wanting to start, but somehow not able to.”
Funny enough, I also started writing a 2024 reflection post…
It became too long, too time-consuming — and here we are saying hello to April.
So yeah — keeping it raw and hitting publish is the new idea now.
